One meditation of Uspenskii (friend of Gurjiev)

There exists a meditation that clarifies the deep nature of reality. But I know only its results but I do not know how to do it. Uspenskii (person that was close to Gurjiev) wrote about such results:

- He sees connection between all the things in Universe;

- He percepts things and truths as music themes and at the same time as
mathematical abstractions;

- He allways sees usage of the 3 number (we know that it is a signature of
God, but it seems that he did not !!!);

- He sees that subjective and objective is not separated, but flow into each
other;

- He thinks 10-100 times quicker than in ordinary consciousness;

- When he returnes to an ordinary consciousness, he can not remember exactly what he was seen;

- May be this meditation used a state that is between dreams and wake;

- It seems that he is not the inventor of this meditation.

* Do you know this or similar meditation?

* If not, is it interesting for you?

- He sees connection between all the things in Universe;
They are definitely connected. How one uses these connections is a personal choice.
- He percepts things and truths as music themes and at the same time as mathematical abstractions;
The musical themes I can relate to. The mathematical abstractions are a little beyond me.
- He allways sees usage of the 3 number (we know that it is a signature of God, but it seems that he did not !!!);
I do not see this as a significant thing.
- He sees that subjective and objective is not separated, but flow into each other;
Yes, this is nice, but so far all of this is available to anyone who does the meditations we are doing if they are catching the point of them.
- He thinks 10-100 times quicker than in ordinary consciousness;
I am not sure if this is actually a good thing. But sure one can speed up his consciousness when one reduces the effect of time. It is relativity at work on the level of consciousness. I would describe it as seeing things holistically and in larger chunks. Kind of like a computer that sees things in 8 bit chunks as compared to one that sees things in 64 bit chunks. Seeing things in greater depth and in a larger context certainly can speed up the thought process enormously. But at the same time one realizes that the thought process often is more in the way than needed and starts to see the present existence as an experience and not as a thought process.
- When he returnes to an ordinary consciousness, he can not remember exactly what he was seen;
Perhaps not precisely, but the experience is lasting and stays within one. But I do remember, so maybe I am not doing what they say?
- May be this meditation used a state that is between dreams and wake;
I would hope so as this is the optimal meditative state and is the one that I use during our meditations. Wakefullness is not a meditative state; neither is dream.
- It seems that he is not the inventor of this meditation.
No one can invent a meditation since we all use patterns that are already existing within people and within the ether. The only patterns that work are those that are already imbedded in the fiber of the ether for it is only these energies that have a relation to us. We can take these patterns and reveal them at different moments and in different sequences, but the elements are a constant within the earthly consciousness.
* Do you know this or similar meditation?
I think we do these regularly.

This description is very generic and does not reveal anything particular to me. Perhaps it sparks some awareness in others, but it just describes to me what we do all the time.

I did not speak about these things as I assumed that what is important to you is your personal experience. I do not want to direct your awareness to any particular experience but only wish to organize the sequence of patterns of catalytic experiences for your benefit and for the benefit of others.

I offer this only as my own personal experience since you asked me to comment on it before and I did not do so. Everyone will have their own experience.[/quote]

Sorry that last post was from me, Hari

Somehow this forum takes me out of my login when I send messages. But that last comment on the meditation was indeed from me.

It seems you didn’t actually sign in. You though that you have signed in after pushing "Enter" button, but actually you are not. Look up where there is written "login", after you actually sign in there should be "Sign out [ Hari]". At list this problem happens with me some time. Now the problem is solved. :D
If this problem will occur again please let me know in "Technical issues".

Dear Mihail,

You ended your letter with a question - if we are interested in this sort of meditation.

Truly, my friend, I would like to practice meditation. i do not get proper concentration. It is at this moment that my thoughts wander around the whole of universe which I rarely do at other times.
