Dear Hari,

When we discuss the quality of devotion we always discuss it fom the position of a living entity towards the Supreme. In His turn the Supreme possesses this quality in full measure. Is it possible to discuss it from the position of the Supreme towards a living entity? In other words what is devotion of the Supreme towards a living entity or towards living entities?

Thank you very much,

Dharmabhavana

I have seen that the Supreme is always ready to help anyone at any time and is always there to facilitate growth and development. I have seen the Supreme to be unlimitedly understanding and always manifesting love by desiring our best interests by encouraging us to better ourselves by creating a situation wherein we are forced to change when we lose our intelligence and become overwhelmed with our own importance.

It seems obvious, therefore, that the Supreme is 100% devoted towards our welfare. At least one can say there is a constant attention given to us and therefore this is perfect devotion. As Krsna is totally devoted to Radha and Radha is totally devoted to Krsna, we see that devotion to love and those who love is a characteristic of the Supreme.

If one considers that all beings are but the energy of the Supreme and that energy is love in essence, loving devotion is natural in all beings. It especially manifests in relation to the Supreme and from the Supreme. However, devotion requires a conscious endeavor, therefore it can only be applied to those who consciously strive for it. As the Supreme is always conscious and always connected to all, the Supreme's devotion is supremely manifested.
