Yesterday I was reading a quote from Albert Einstein. And I was amazed at how wonderful this quote was, so I want to share it with you. A little background first. You know, when I started speaking again after what happened and I started redefining things, one of the reasons I was redefining it was because the words that we were using in ISKCON had become a language in and of themselves. And all you had to do is say one of these words and everybody had an idea of what you were talking about. You never had to explain it or clarify it.
So what I started doing very early - even in the 90is actually, late 90is, '99, when I went to Russia and after that in the fall - was to stop using those words and only speak about the concept the words were denoting. And then I was very clear that when you simply speak about the concepts and you don't tag those concepts to some word or some title or some phrase, you find there's an enormous amount of intersecting between all spiritual traditions.
And then when you speak about the concepts in just using the words that describe the concept, there's very little argument amongst spiritualists, because everybody embraces these ideas more or less. And so I was continuing that redefinition by trying to remove sectarian concepts, concepts that were meant to be restricted to only certain groups or only people who believe certain things. And then I went after things that you should just believe. Things which, you know, you don't really have experience of, it's just so way out there, you just believe it with full faith and that's all there is to it.
So then I started looking at the deities, looking at God in a totally different way. So I started saying about the deities: "Well, what am I doing here?" And what I initially realized immediately was that the deities' presence is very visual, and that the sounds in the temple were very powerful. So I tried to see beyond that which was blinding perception. So I went right to feeling, "I'm standing here, what am I feeling?"
But you know a lot of this, so I get right to the point. The point was that I started to see everything much more rationally. And here's where the quote from Einstein comes in, because what I was doing was actually part of the scientific process: observation, experimentation, conclusion. If you go dialectic with, the theses, the antithesis and the synthesis by putting these scientific, rhetoric methodologies into the spiritual experience it became much more real.

Time 8:04
Okay, let's talk about Einstein, what he said. "Everything is energy and that's all there is to it." Whatever we have anywhere, it's all energy and there is nothing else. "Match the frequency of the reality you want and you cannot help but get that reality." "Match the frequency of the reality you want," just think about that! This is very basic physics. Everything is energy and therefore everything has a frequency. If you want to work with that frequency you have to match that frequency. And once you match that frequency you connect to it and it creates a reality.
"You cannot help but get that reality," that's what he said, there's no other choice. You match a frequency, you get that reality, it can be no other way. This is not philosophy, this is physics. Now think about all that we do in our understanding of things! We connect to the deities by feeling their energy, so we are matching the frequency by absorbing their frequency. We are connecting to their energy, absorbing their energy, and that creates a frequency.
We are connecting to God using science, using physics. I mean that's pretty amazing. But that brings up many questions. What is it that is connecting? Now in its essence the science of Bhakti is doing the exact same thing. It is to absorb yourself within the chanting of the holy names first and foremost. So the more that is there, the more the sound is there, the more - theoretically - the connection is there.
But we observe, there may be a lot of chanting but no connection. Somebody may be chanting a lot of rounds and the mind is off everywhere. The best Kirtans seemed to be on some level those that are so thunderous, so powerful, with the sound just pulsating, that you can't think. But is that actual connection to the holy names? You can use this same methodology to look at every single thing which is part of a spiritual practice, doesn't matter which group you're in.
Sometimes you do stuff and you absorb yourself in it as best you can, but then it's just like, uh, it doesn't really give you what you want. Sometimes people are giving lectures which is supposed to engage your mind and maybe sometimes you think, "Uh, when are they going to finish?" So you all know what I'm talking about, I don't need to describe it further.
Now, here's the question which I find extremely interesting. What is it that is doing the connection when it isn't happening? The Kirtan is supposed to grab your heart. But what if it doesn't? Let's go back to Einstein's idea, "Match the frequency!" "Match the frequency of the reality you want!" What reality might I want? Well, let's say I want to connect to the spiritual world ... (inaudible) or to match with the frequency.
3
When I listen to some Kirtans, what frequency am I matching? What if I am just matching the frequency of the people in the room? I know this is very radical thinking because after all the holy name is supposed to be transcendental to all that. So when it's chanted, that should be the predominating energy. But is it? By observation, sometimes or even a lot of times, it's not. So we're not matching that reality, we think. So in our minds we say: "Well, it's my fault, there's something wrong with me."
So then I was realizing why the deities are so incredibly important? When we look at the deities there's nobody else there. When we feel the energy coming from the deities, there's no other feeling there. It just overwhelms us when we allow it to happen. So we're matching the frequency of the reality we want by matching the frequency of the deities, and we get that reality.
It doesn't matter who you are. Like, I'll never forget all those people in St. Petersburg when I did that series of workshops, where we were learning how to connect to the deities and we were doing the us-concept and we were connecting and we were feeling, and all of these people who were just guests were feeling it too. And they came back again and again, and we experienced it by just applying this scientific method.
Time 21:46
According to philosophy that should not be happening. Because in philosophy there are many ideas. "You can't do this" or "you can't get that without going through this and that and the other thing." "You can't connect to the deities, you are not qualified." But (through) observation, these people who had no training whatsoever in anything that was within that philosophy, did it. And they did it by learning "everything is energy" as Albert, our dear friend, said and matching the frequency and creating the reality. That's not philosophy, that's physics.
Now someone may say: "Uh, physics can't touch spirituality. Spirituality is all in another realm. Physics can't go there, it's material. There's spiritual energy and then there's material energy." But no, everything is energy. "sarvam khalv idam brahma," that's all there is is energy. And energy by definition always works the same.
All the principles of physics that apply to energy will work in any of these so called two categories. And we proved it by observation, experimentation and conclusion. We observed this phenomenon, we experimented with a group of people who had nothing to do with ISKCON and we concluded it works.
So sometimes we get in the way of other people when we start throwing all these burdens on somebody when they are going to engage in spirituality. That "you got to do this and you got to do that" and "you shouldn't do this" and "you shouldn't do that."
4
Obviously there are things that if you do them they screw you up royally, and things that if you don't do it screw you up royally obviously. But in essence if you can connect, you are creating that reality of the spiritual energy directly. Match the frequency means connect, resonate in the same frequency. So if you can resonate in the same frequency, that's the essence.
I remember there was a story about Rupa Goswami which I always love. He was in a situation where he was talking to some people, but at the same time he was talking some (inaudible) else. He was living this expanded reality at the same time. He could talk to people, at the same time be talking within the expanded spiritual reality that he was in. That energy doesn't have to have boundaries. We create the boundaries.
Think about the difficulty, the problem, the struggle with what we experience here! Why something becomes material? Ultimate answer is that it's our perception of it. We call it ignorance. But what if you're not ignorant? What if you're aware? Where's the border? How do you define the border if you are aware that these borders are only created by you? Why would you do it even? If you are aware of the borderless reaches of all energy everywhere, why would you whimsically place borders? What would be the benefit of creating these boundaries? What would you gain? What would you lose by not doing it?
Now it's extremely interesting, the more you get into this it's more interesting about our creation of reality. Because the responsibility for this creation lies on us. So people are absorbed in matching the energy of a reality which is so dystopian nowadays that this is the message going out everywhere. (Maha asks what means dystopian? Hari: Dystopian means a future of absolute catastrophe. Everything's falling apart, everything's going to hell, we're all to be finished, it's all going to be Ah!)
Time 31:51
Now when Einstein said: "Match the frequency of the reality you want, you cannot help but get that reality", the word want is interesting. Let's replace that word "Match the frequency of the reality you want" with match the frequency of the reality you meditate on, you immerse yourself in. Just like Krishna was saying in Bhagavad Gita: "Whatever that consciousness you have immersed yourself in at the time of death, that reality you will attain without a doubt."
So it's almost as if the concept of the "everything will die, everything will be ruined, it will all be disaster" has taken over the meditation of all people, it's what they're thinking about. Movies are talking about it, TV-shows are talking about it, social media is talking about it, conferences are talking about it. Everybody is simply absorbing themselves in this future that just means ruination. So think about that! This is the reality we're creating.
5
One of the most amazing things I ever read in the Bhagavatam and other places, was how during the reign of good kings even the weather was good. Because the people in the society were satisfied, protected, they felt secure, and they were just putting good energy into the world. And the world reciprocated with great weather. And now everybody is hysterical, scared to death, no security. You know, going and buying guns and holding themselves up in the places to defend themselves. And the weather is getting worse and worse and worse...
This is physics. Each of us are energy turbines generating energy, transmitting energy in various forms, transmitting thoughts into the atmosphere, transmitting feelings into the atmosphere, transmitting intentions into the atmosphere. And the atmosphere is reciprocating, taking all that fear and paranoia and creating a reality to match it. Wow! That's, all I can say is Wow!
And therefore the idea that to get connected to God, to connect to Radha and Krishna, to experience spiritual energy, (by) making that so hard that it's going to take years or lifetimes or multiple lifetimes, is not the answer to the problem today.
So it's my opinion, whatever that means, that the real answer is to change how people in spiritual traditions think about energy. There are so many spiritualists all over the world today, I mean like piles of them everywhere. The more they would embrace the physics of matching the energy of the Lord, of the deities, the more the reality will resonate in... to try to transform this creation that has gone to hell.
Gaura just wrote something really cool. He said: "This is probably why the reality of the sages changes the reality of ordinary people." They cleanse everything that surrounds them. So if your energy is connected to this really powerful source of energy and you go out into a situation which is very much ruled by other forms of that energy, you predominate it. So that is actually a factor of each and everyone of us.
Time 41:30
You know, big groups can be confusing because it's very hard to find a focus. But when a single person with a very positive spiritual understanding and connection connects with another person, that person is benefited somehow or another.
I don't think the point is for them to believe what you believe. I think the point is for them to feel a bid of what you feel. I think this is the way Prabhupada started everything with getting people to understand how he felt, sharing that feeling. There were so many who could just share their feeling and give others a taste of how that spiritual energy is so wonderful for all. But the more the reality that one is tuning to becomes mixed with, let's say, corporations or money or laws or rules or conflicts, the more it matches the reality of what we call the material world.
6
And what's the perfect way to counter that? Simply to offer people the energetic connection to the deities, to assist them to make the connection to Radha and Krishna. When Lord Caitanya embraced people, what was happening? He was sharing his feeling. And immediately they became overwhelmed with Lord Caitanya's feeling.
Groups have a very hard time doing that kind of a thing, it is much more of an individual thing. Like Sanatana Goswami used to walk around the outskirts of Vrindavana, go to villages, listen to their problems, try to offer them some help or some solutions, being there when they needed him. He became the father of everyone, taking care, everyone just wanted to understand more from him. The only time there was like the big group thing, there was a big movement, was against Chand Kazy, and that was civil disobedience, or at Ratha Yatra when everybody is accompanying Lord Jaganath.
Again the deity. Now instead of the deity standing in the altar, the deity was on the cart going somewhere. So everybody went with the deity - same thing. So it was physics. So we are not against science because physics is science. And physics means connection and physics says how to connect to Radha and Krishna. So we like that science.
So that's what I wanted to say today, and if there are questions I'll take them.

Questions and answers with Hari
Maha translates a question from Russian.
One of my acquaintances who is a mathematician recently began to read your book. (Hari: what book? Ah the one Kamalamala published) He said that the first fifty pages were difficult to read (Hari: Really?) and he did not accept the author's ideas. I wanted to argue and then he began to like everything very much and he agreed internally with your ideas. Does this mean that he needed to tune into your energy?
7
Hari: Wow, yeah, you know, I have a problem. I'm trying to take consciousness and bring it somewhere else. Now think about that! Would you allow someone to take your consciousness and bring it somewhere else? Maybe, it depends, you'd have to agree to it. Now when I am writing I am using language which on the surface is very easy to understand but what it implies, what it actually means, is huge.
Everybody already knows these things, but they decided they don't like to know those things. So I am telling them something they have already decided to forget. So inside they know this, but on the platform of the mental situation of reading and perceiving, the words seem to be saying not exactly that.
So that means unless they get to the point of saying: "But wait a minute, this is interesting" or "Wait a minute, there is something to this", they are not going to like what I write. Because I'm trying to take them to skip so many steps and go straight to the essence. This is very difficult for people. I've had this problem a lot. It takes, I don't know, ten years, twenty years, thirty years for people to understand what I said. Not because it's complicated but because it's extremely simple.
So the idea is that what that person said, when they read the book, is actually the essence of understanding. He didn't like it, he didn't accept it, he wanted to argue. And then something changed, something clicked, and then he liked it. Was he tuning to my energy, or was he just letting himself believe what he already knew was true? Well, maybe he tuned enough to me to open the door of his own perception, so he could understand what he already knew to be true was real. Either way, I'll take that as a great compliment and thank him.
You know I never expected to sell like, you know, tens of thousands of books, it's just I never thought it. It cost me about 6000 Dollar, personal money, to get that book produced. You can't imagine what editors cost. And I never thought, well I'm going to make money back some day, I never thought that. But then again, you know, when you go into such a loss, you think why should I write another one, people don't care. But if twenty years from now they say, "Hey, that was cool." Yeah, that's too late. (Hari laughs)
Time 59:02
Okay here's the next question.
Hari reads: Thank you for the inspiring speech (Hari: You are welcome). You started with how you re-thought the use of the lexicon and this led to a change in the perception of the perception process itself. (Hari: Nicely put) Isn't this also an indication of how our use of speech and language also affects the creation of reality around us? (Hari: Hundred percent true) When we express our attitude to the world consciously, the world reflects our expression accordingly.
8
Hari: Hundred percent true, wisely written. Very well put, I must say. And this is, this is physics. If you say something, the wall reflects it. Energy is reflected when it meets something or it's absorbed. So you can effect something else by sending an energy that it absorbs.
(Maha asks Hari for clarification) Hari: Yeah, you can make an effect on some other being or some other substance by sending in an energy that it will absorb and it creates that change in that thing.
You can kill plants by hating them, by neglecting them, by sending negative energy to them. And you can create plants growing like mad by sending good energy to them. Purely cause and effect, absolute physics.
Time 1:02:14
Hari reads: What to do with all the paranoia and fears that create the bad weather? Would it naturally dissolve when I listen to the deities' energy more or should I use the EFT, for example, or other methods of working with the mind's bad habits?
Hari: Well, there's two things here in this question, which is of course that they - one of the most important questions of today - but there's two things being stated in these questions. The first is: "What can I do to effect weather?" And the second is: "Is there something I can do to effect weather in a meaningful way?"
Well unless you're Indra no individual can really effect the weather. So you can forget that. But it can be done. You know, let's say you get Greta Thunberg and her millions of followers - all glories to that girl! - and they are creating this urgency to care, this urgency to care and change. That can effect. We all share the weather, so it's a group thing, it's a societal thing that we all have to participate in this. So if you want to make a change for the weather, you've got to become the change. And when you become the change, you can create change in others.
Like, I think about it a lot, every decision I make, everything I do, I'm worried about what consequences there are, what I'm doing that impacts the environment, (that) impacts the world. It drives me crazy. Because we're in such a bind (dilemma) in this world that we've created a society which ultimately screws up the planet. So when you're in that, how do you just make small changes here and there?
Every time I drive my truck, uh, I feel so guilty. But I need the truck. We buy hay for the horses, we buy grains for the horses, we buy shavings for their stalls, we have to carry stuff here and there. The truck is used non stop. The obvious solution, (is to) get an electric truck. Until you find out what they cost. (Hari smiles) A hundred thousand Dollars. Sure. Oh my God! That's not going to happen.
9
And what are we doing with all these old vehicles, where are they going to go? Big huge garbage piles of old vehicles? The only solution is to creat electricity by fusing atoms and create lots of electricity like mad. And then create lots of hydrogen by taking this to much water and creating hydrogen. And then adapting all the existing vehicles - by something that nobody can figure out yet - so they burn hydrogen. Then we get to use the same crummy cars that are burning gas with hydrogen. We get rid of to much water and we create lots of electricity with fusion. Like I said ten, twenty years ahead.
You know what's interesting, I mean this Varnashrama Manifesto book, it's such a disappointment for me because I predicted in that book the situation we're in now. So I was unfortunately 40 years ahead of my time. In those days they thought I was crazy. "Droughts, famine, pestilences, floods, earthquakes, volcanoes," what are you talking about? "What are you talking about? Well, "governments to fix all these problems." Are you crazy? What are you talking about? "A society ruled by the intellectual ideas, who are going to work with the Kshatriyas to implement all these stuff." Uh yeah, such is life.
Time 1:11:09
Hari reads: You've said when organizational elements are mixed into our energy of relations with deities, it distorts it? (Hari: yes.) This is in some way pointing out to me what had been ...
Hari: She's been worrying about this for a long time.
Hari continues reading: Why when I try to put things in order at home, at work in raising children, it becomes not easy for me to come in contact with the deities. Does this mean that you have to let things take their course or should there be some kind of balance? Can you recommend something for your part?
Hari: Well, yeah. Well that's a very good question. I mean frankly speaking I'm sitting here in front of you, it's my job to give a talk. But when we're done here and I walk out that door, that you can't see right now, I'm like you. Things, things, more things, breaking things, fixing things, buying things, making things, people problem, this problem, that problem, wow!
I'm just like you. What do I do? Well, as I get older, I more and more just consider, I exist for the welfare and benefit of others. So I shouldn't get angry when others need me. And if things break and they're needed. Well, I shouldn't be angry at the thing, because things break.
10
You have no idea what it means to live with a bunch of horses. They can freak out in a moment and start smashing everything. You know, they weight a ton. And when they kick something, that's one ton plus all that energy that they (put into the kick). So when there's a whole hullabaloo out there and everybody is going crazy and they're running all over the place, I know, Oh God! Get the tools, go out there. Then they're going to have their faces right at you, that's saying: "I'm sorry, I didn't mean to kick down the gate, I'm really sorry, daddy, don't be upset with me." Yeah, yeah. "You're a good boy, go away." (And again) Fix the gate.
So what's the alternative? No horses? Then this place is so boring. So the balance is attitude. How you react. There's no question, everything is going to break down unless you keep it together. That's just an absolute fact. And if you walk around being angry at everything all the time for making you work more, you got the wrong attitude. The right attitude is: "I'm here for the sake of the whole, this is my task, I shall do it with a good attitude." And when I walk in to the deities I'm not carrying this huge burden of attitude problem with me. And immediately I can connect again.
Hari asks: Was that okay? (It gets confirmed.)
Time 1:18:48
Hari reads another question: "In psychology there's a theory of reflection, our outer world is a reflection of our inner world."
Hari: Yeah, to a large extent. I would not say a mirror reflection. No, not at all. But to a large extent, yes.
Hari continues reading: "And if we want to change something in our outer world, the best way to do this is to change our inner world."
Hari: That's too esoteric. Okay, my desk is in front of me here, I want to have it over there. So I want to change my outer world by moving the desk over there. So my inner world got a desire and created a plan. But that's not a psychological principle, that's just life.
Okay, there's chaos around me. But I wish to change the chaos within to peace and expand that peace to that around me. That works. But it's not a reflection, it's an intention. Yes, I will change my inner world and that will create influence on my outer world. One could call it a reflection if the light being reflected is a fraction of that which is being sent. So if that's allowed in this theory, the fractionalization of the light impulse, then yes, that's a good thing.
11
Is that okay? Not really. Maha tells Hari: Maybe this principle of fractionalization is not clear actually. The law, physics of light or something.
Hari: Well, let's say the material that's doing the reflecting is what's fractionalized.
Maha asks: What's actually fractionalization?
Hari: Reducing proportionally, a reduction of the reflection. Just for your understanding. A mirror reflects the light pretty well, but a frosted glass reflects it very badly. But it does reflect it. That means the reduction of the reflection which causes the material that's accepting the reflection.
So when you send energy out into your environment, it doesn't just reflect you. Because the receptor of that energy reduces your impulse according to its characteristic. Let's say you're together with a person who doesn't care what you say at all, has no interest in you whatsoever. You can send them beautiful energy and they could say: "What do you want?" So this idea of this reflective principle as an absolute, I don't believe it. There's too many dependencies. Maybe that's something to think about.
Time 1:25:18
Hari continues reading: "If we take into account all the nuances in fact that electric batteries practically do not compose, then modern cars using maximally ecological gasoline can be considered the least harmful of what is available at the moment.
Hari asks: Do you mean hybrids or using corn, ethanol gas or what is ecological gasoline? I mean maximally I get it, yeah, sure. It should be... Yeah, I know what you're trying to say. I mean let's talk about ethanol gas, yeah? Growing corn, to turn it into an additive of gasoline to reduce the gasoline impact.
12
Maha asks for clarification. You mean ecological gas? Ethanol?
Hari. No, not that uzzing buz (?) They put it into gasoline in America. 10 % of all gasoline that you buy at the station has ethanol in it that's made from corn. So the massive impact of growing that much corn is phenomenal. Now one thing about Tesla (the company) is that his battery packs, when they're no longer usable in cars, can be put on the wall and used to store solar energy from the solar panels. But his cyber truck is the ugliest thing I've ever seen. I mean, my God! I would be so embarrassed to drive in a cyber truck, this like bizarre looking uh!
Maha asks: You mean Tesla not as a scientist but as a company, right?
Hari: A company, the company. The cyber truck, it looks like this. (Hari shows with his hand) Ugly. I mean you’ve got to have some art here. You can't just, you know, put some ugly truck and say: "It's good for you." But, you know, who am I to say: "Everybody stop driving, because it's bad?" I mean how do you stop driving? The world is made around driving.
Another thing I was saying in 1980 with the Varnashrama book. Everything should be in a village unit, with everything locally available. You don't have to drive all over the place, or ship all over the place. You work where you live and you create everything for what you need. This is the unit which makes the world work properly. To make changes that will really transform the world, this requires a whole new way of looking at life.
Well, I ran out of questions and I think I want to stop there, because unfortunately I have some very important things I have to do today, which I can't avoid - you know, reality. So I'm going to just stop there.
Time 1:31:17
So Goodbye to everybody! You know I will be going to have some kind of a talk with Kasisvara's festival. I don't know if you can attend. It seems to be on 9 AM my time, which will be your time 4 in the afternoon. (Moscow time) On the 23 of November. That's a Tuesday, I don't know if you are interested in that.
Okay everybody, Goodbye to all of you! Good luck! Good health, very good health! Good spirits and happiness and connection to Radha and Krishna.

Yesterday I was reading a quote from Albert Einstein. And I was amazed at how wonderful this quote was, so I want to share it with you. A little background first.
