I believe that in our hearts
there is still love and understanding
that faith and hope are still alove

I have faith that the truth
is still stronger then a lie
and that to those in darkness
love in plenty should be given

I have the faith that
men still care for each other
that love does win
over the hatred

I have the faith

And I will believe even then
when all others seemingly
abandon that faith

And I will love even then
when all others seemingly
forgive the meaning of love

For as long as the faith and love
exists, even if ever so small
I will not be lost
and hope in me will live.



The most you can get

They tell me that
the best you can get in life
is the riches

And they tell me that
the best you can get
is glory

That is, they say
the biggest happiness in the world
When you have glory and riches
you´ve got everything you´ll ever need

Then you will have the power
and all your wishes fulfilled


But what for
are all the riches and power
if they rob me from love
and a smile of a friend
and freedom

What for are all the
fulfilled desires,
what will I then dream about?

The most that you can earn in life,
I say, is
love and friendship
and freedom
and thousands of thousands of dreams.
