Moth in Dvaraka

In the month of Caitra, on a quiet moonlit night, whispers were heard on a high Dvaraka wall. Soldiers came with weapons raised but found only empty shadows. Krishna stands on a dark balcony with his queen who knows it too. Radha cries for her long lost love with tears hot like the quiet sea below. ...

I have a kshatriya nature and I think Krishna has a plan for me to help devotees with community development. all my adult life I worked as a manager and I have a natural tendency for practicality. real working communities are develop...

what happened in New Orleans can happen anywhere. crime is often a matter of opportunity. when faced with grim reality and absence of law enforcement, many people will turn into animals. personally, I see it as a wake up call (last?) before a period of major tribulations Srila Prabhupada was forecas...

In the last 200 years or so, there have been many, many attempts to establish communites focused on a particular philosophy or religious afiliation/idea. The vast majority of these attempts failed (which is predictable) but some DID succeed. I'm not sure there is just one formula for such success, b...

Re: <<< Revolutionary project of ecological CAR

I suppose that it's really revolutionary project that was conceived by one french engineer who based on new kind of engine working on ... compressed air. So you don't need anymore petrol, diesel, gas stations, rafineries etc. the planet became slowly clean again and air pure, but in the same time ....

"Zonal Acharya, Living Guru, Ritvik, Self Effulgent Acharya?" How about some other options from our Vaishnava tradition? There were all kinds of teacher categories in our Vedic heritage, all of them very useful and legitimate. The same goes for our parampara (and what a loaded subject that...

Yes, it is a very good tool and I use it all the time. It is perhaps the only form of "psychoanalysis" I can relate to and find useful... :D

I dont think you can find anywhere in shastra a business that needed to be managed ;) back then business was a family affair. nowadays some business enterprises are bigger than most vedic kingdoms.

I'm not so sure about your ideas of what a ksatriya is naturally adept at. Whenever sastra speaks about the nature of a ksatriya it often includes administrator along with government and military. I don't think this really applies to business or teaching leadership but to governmental administratio...

I had asked what use or value is there in an attempt to identify a persons varna. I didn't say that the varna does not exist. A person will naturally be attracted to his comfort zone, that would be his or her varna. So if you can, please tell us why you think it is a requirement to identify a perso...

I would have to disagree with you about the need in identifying people as belonging to a certain varna. What value or use does that have? If you think like that, than please stop using the term varnashrama when you describe your social concepts, because it is very misleading. Varna divisions are RE...

The thing about varnashrama is that it is not supposed to be a static lawbook of some type. Rather it is a dynamic principle in organizing communties. It's primary function is to enable a social community to flourish, materially and spiritually. The economics is always a variable and the implementa...

From my day to day experience of the people around me, I can't see any type of major or even minor spiritual awakening of any type, except maybe for the mass of Christians who seem to be riled up into reactionary head spaces. maybe you are confusing material religiosity with real spirituality. for ...
